DAY 1: BOSTON TO CAPE COD
Deluxe Motor coach departs from Boston at 10:00AM
for a Tour of the city which includes many sites
such as the Old North Church, Boston Commons, The
Public Gardens, "Cheers Pub and the USS Constitution,
better known as "Old Ironsides.. Continue in the
Afternoon to Cape Cod. Meet fellow travelers at
a Welcoming Reception and dinner along with your
tour director. (D)
DAY 2: TOUR OF HYANNIS & SCENIC
TOUR ON CAPE COD CENTRAL RAILROAD
Your Guided Tour starts with a Tour of Hyannis
including the Kennedy Memorial. Then board the
Cape Cod Central Railroad to recapture the romance
of a by-gone era. This afternoon enjoy a Harbor
Cruise in Hyannis Harbor and free time for shopping.
A memorable Lobster Dinner is included this evening.

DAY 3: THE GRANITE EAGLE
Depart today for Plymouth - America's home town
to see the Mayflower II and Plymouth Rock. Continue
into New Hampshire past Squam Lake where "On
Golden Pond" was filmed. Next a visit to
the Castle in the Clouds perched high in the Ossippee
Mountains overlooking Lake Winnipesauke. into
your hotel for the evening and have time to freshen
up. This evening travel on the Café
Lafayette Dinner Train this is an experience
to long remember. (B & Dinner Train)
DAY
4: THE NOTCH TRAIN
Following breakfast, travel on The
Notch Train for some of the finest natural
scenery in the East. Pass through spectacular
Crawford Notch with sheer bluffs, steep ravines,
cascading brooks and streams, panoramic mountain
vistas. . Cross the famed Frankenstein Trestle
and Willey Brook Bridge en-route to Crawford Depot
or Fabyan Station. Visit the Cog Railway Visitor
Center and Museum. This is the world's first,
mountain-climbing cog railway and today it's the
only one still powered entirely by steam. Visit
the museum and watch the cog as it climbs to the
top of Mount Washington. Continue on to Vermont
this afternoon for the next two evenings. (B,D)
DAY 5: GREEN MOUNTAIN FLYER
Board the Green
Mountain Flyer at Bellows Falls, Southern
Vermont's authentic passenger train of yester-year.
Traveling along the river, are views of the gorge,
two covered bridges, active farms, and native
wildlife from our seat in beautifully restored
coaches pulled by vintage diesel power. This afternoon
visit the Calvin Coolidge Historic Site (Birthplace
of our 30th President) and enjoy a self guided
tour of his home and town, preserved exactly as
it stood in 1924. This evening another wonderful
dinner is included. (B,D)
DAY 6: RETURN TO BOSTON
After a hearty breakfast, board, board the coach
for our journey home, with fond memories of the
New England Rails!! Flight arrangements should
be made after 2:00 PM (B)

Night 3: Mountain Club at Loon or Comfort

The Mountain Club on Loon, one of the finest resorts
in New Hampshire, is slopeside at Loon Mountain
on a bluff overlooking the Pemi River. The Mountain

cuisine, great
martinis, wine and beer offerings as well

Nights 4 & 5: Cavandish Point Clarion
- Ludlow, VT
Centrally
located to attractions, antiques, and shopping
in the picturesque villages of Woodstock, Manchester,
Weston, Chester, Ludlow, Rutland and Springfield.
Enjoy elegant dining in "The Castle"
an historic 1904 stone mansion and former Governors
residence with drawn plaster ceilings and 15 foot
tall oak, mahogany and chestnut paneled dining
rooms.
