DAY
1: ARRIVAL DETRIOT
Passengers will be met at Detroit Airport by a deluxe
motor coach for a 12:00 PM departure to the Henry Ford
Museum and Greenfield Village. The Village includes such
national treasures as the Thomas Edison's Menlo Park laboratory
complex where more than 400 inventions were produced,
and much more. Then on to the Henry Ford Museum - Established
in 1929, it is the most visited indoor-outdoor historical
complex in North America, welcoming more than one million
visitors annually. The 12-acre museum houses major collections
in transportation, power and ship machinery, agriculture,
lighting and communications, home arts, furniture, glass
and ceramics. Check into your hotel for the evening. (Dinner
Theatre)
DAY 2: FRANKENMUTH TO MACKINAC ISLAND
Breakfast is served before departing for Frankenmuth,
Michigan. Enjoy a world where it is Christmas 365 days
a year. Meet your step on guide for a city tour. Then
it's on to
Bronner's, the world's largest Christmas store with
over 50,000 trims and gifts for all seasons, reasons,
and budgets. The salesroom of the amazing store is the
size of 1.6 football fields and is open 361 days a year.
Heading north you will board the coach for the ferry
to Mackinac Island. Check into the beautiful Island
House Hotel. (B, D)
DAY
3: MACKINAC ISLAND AND FORT MACKINAC
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. This morning we will be
treated to a Carriage tour of the island finishing at
the Fort on the Island. Tour the Fort and have the rest
of the morning and early afternoon to explore the island.
Departing from near the hotel in a horse-drawn carriage,
your comprehensive tour begins along historic Market
Street, past the Little Stone Congregational Church
and onto the grounds of the elegant Grand Hotel for
a spectacular picture stop of the Huron Lake. Proceed
to The Fort, situated high on a bluff overlooking the
Straits of Mackinac, was an 18th and 19th century British
and American military outpost. Further on, you come
to East Bluff, where you have a view of "downtown"
Mackinac. Proceeding down Mission Hill you return to
Market Street and have ample time to browse at your
leisure. This afternoon take the ferry back to the Mainland
where your driver and coach will be waiting. Depart
for Sault Ste Marie.
Check into your hotel. Tonight you will visit two additional
great lakes, Superior and Michigan. The Soo Locks Dinner
cruise is a glorious way to take in the locks, the lakes,
and enjoy a delicious meal. Your boat will enter the
Lock on the level of Lake Huron. The giant steel gates
close, and the boat is raised twenty-one feet, straight
up, to the level of Lake Superior. You'll get a sailor's
view of ships "locking through", and see the
beautiful, historic waterfronts of Michigan and Canada.

DAY 4: AGAWA CANYON TRAIN RIDE
Enjoy Breakfast at the hotel. Today will be an early
start for a spectacular train ride through spectacular
country. Welcome aboard one of the most spectacular
train excursions in North America. This one day wilderness
excursion will take you 114 miles north of Sault Ste
Marie, over towering trestles, alongside pristine northern
lakes and rivers, and through northern lakes and rivers,
and through the awesome granite rock formations and
mixed forests of the Canadian Shield. Just when you
thought you'd seen it all, we'll coast 500 feet down
to the floor of the Agawa Canyon, where you will have
two hours to experience the rugged beauty up close.
All can enjoy scenic walks on graveled trails, four
sets of waterfalls or an invigorating climb up over
300 stairs to the breathtaking Lookout platform, perched
250 feet above the tracks Lunch is on own aboard the
train. Prior to returning to the hotel you will enjoy
a rustic dinner.

DAY 5: TRAVERSE CITY
Breakfast is served at the hotel. This morning we will
depart for Traverse City. Upon arrival your step-on
guide will provide a tour of the area. After lunch you
will re-board the coach for a chance to visit the sites
of the area. Today we will visit Lighthouses, enjoy
wine tasting and of course visit the famous Music House.
The Music House Museum is one of the most popular attractions
in the region with an extensive collection of fine and
rare antiques and automated musical instruments in period
American settings. Check into your hotel to freshen
up prior to dinner which will be a theme based on the

DAY 6: SAUGATUCK DUNE RIDES AND HOLLAND
After breakfast at hotel you will depart for Holland.
You will be wowed as you board Saugatuck Dunes Ride
to be both scenic and exciting. This is a beautiful
region with its sand dunes on the shores of Lake Michigan
and can only be reached only by the Dune Schooneers.
This afternoon it's on to the Dutch Village and Windmill
Island prior to checking into your hotel. This 10 acre
theme park depicts the history, culture and lifestyle
of dancers, Amsterdam street organs, a Frisian farmhouse
and barn with petting zoo, wooden shoe carving, rides
for the kids, and much more! Stroll through spectacular
perennial gardens. Windmill Island is located two minutes
from downtown Holland. It's America's only 230 year
old working Dutch windmill. Its steel beams and sails
span out 80 feet. The windmill is 12 stories high. Costumed
guides escort all visitors through the windmill. This
afternoon check into hotel to freshen up for a fantastic
local meal before cruising aboard the Star of Saugatuck
for sunset cruise. (B, D)
DAY 7: WINDSOR CANADA
Breakfast is served this morning and then you will visit
the southern most city in Canada. It is hard to believe
but over 25% of the U.S. is north of Canada from this
spot.
Join us on the Detroit River for a narrated luncheon
cruise. This rich historical waterway will come alive
before you. Check into your waterfront hotel which is
within walking distance to the largest casino, shopping,
and waterfront parkland. For your farewell dinner enjoy
an interactive theatre to be held at historic Mackenzie
Hall located in one of the most historic areas of Windsor.
Return to the hotel for balance of evening on own. There
is much within walking distance. (B, D)
DAY 8: DEPARTURE
The last morning together breakfast will be served at
the hotel and then morning departures to follow after
12:00 PM from the Detroit Airport. (B).
