ITINERARY:
DAY 1 - Arrival
Welcome to Maine! Arrive to your Bangor area motel
for check in and meet your Northeast Unlimited Tours
Tour Director who will be with you for the next
six days. Enjoy a delicious welcome dinner this
evening. (D) DAY 2
- CAT Ferry & Evangeline Trail
This morning we get an early start departing for
Bar Harbor to catch the CAT high-speed ferry to
Nova Scotia. Enjoy a boxed breakfast on our journey.
Enjoy the scenery on this brief three hour cruise.
Dock in Yarmouth, NS, clear customs and begin
our journey along the beautiful Evangeline Trail.
Visit Grand Pre National Historic Site with 14
acres of landscaped grounds established in memory
for all the Acadians, Nova Scotia's first French
settlers, who were deported to British Settlements
throughout the North America. View Henry Wadsworth
Longfellow's statue depicting the fictional heroine
in his epic poem "Evangeline." This
afternoon, arrive to the Halifax area for a two
night stay. A savory dinner is served at the resort
this evening. (B, D)
DAY 3 - Halifax &
Peggy's Cove
Following a hearty breakfast, depart for a guided
tour of the capitol of Nova Scotia; Halifax. This
modern city nestled amongst the tranquil beauty
of its coastal surrounding is truly a site to
behold. Halifax harbor is the second largest natural
harbor in the world allowing ships and vessels
of all sizes to port in the harbor. Visit the
Citadel National Historic Site. This star shaped
fortification was completed in 1856 and stands
on a hill overlooking downtown. Designed to block
a land-based attack, this fort actually was never
attacked. Then visit the Fairview Lawn Cemetery.
Here many victims of the tragic sinking of the
Titanic lie in rest. Take some time to stroll
through the beautifully manicured Halifax Public
Gardens. This afternoon, journey to the enchanting
seaside fishing village of Peggy's Cove. This
village is quite well known to many artists for
its picturesque ocean setting. Visit Peggy's Cove
Light - the only light of its kind as it doubles
as Peggy's Cove post office. This evening enjoy
a traditional Nova Scotia Lobster dinner. (B,

DAY 4 - Magnetic Hill
& Saint John, NB
Following a delicious breakfast, check out and
depart for Saint John, NB. En route, visit Magnetic
Hill; the 3 most popular attractions in Atlantic
Canada! Defy gravity as our motorcoach actually
rolls up hill! Then continue on to Saint John
where we'll make a stop to the Reversing falls.
This phenomenon is best described when the high
tides of the Bay of Fundy meet and overpower the
Saint John River and force the river to reverse
and flow back upstream. We'll check into our hotel
for the evening. Enjoy an appetizing dinner tonight.

DAY 5 - Campobello Island
& Bar Harbor
Enjoy breakfast before checking out and departing
for the United States. En route, visit Campobello
Island; the summer home of former President Franklin
D. Roosevelt and stroll through the beautifully
maintained buildings and grounds. From here, continue
across the border to Mount Desert Island for a
visit to Cadillac Mountain and Bar Harbor. This
evening, check into our Bar Harbor area hotel.
Enjoy a delicious dinner this evening.

DAY 6 - Depart for home
Following breakfast our final morning, we bid
farewell taking all of our fond memories of our
journey throughout Maine, Nova Scotia, Maine,
New Brunswick and Nova Scotia with us! (B)

Night 4: Wonderview,
Bar Harbor, ME
Wonder

estate of Mary Roberts Rinehart, famous writer
of popular mystery stories. Most of the estate,
along with hundreds of homes and summer cottages
and thousands of acres of forest, was destroyed
in the fire of October, 1947. The stone steps
