DAY 1 - Saturday, October 9


Welcome to Boston
Welcome to Boston’s Logan International airport! Transfer via hotel shuttle to the Four Points Hotel by Sheraton where we’ll receive a warm greeting by our Northeast Unlimited Tours tour director. This evening, enjoy a wine & cheese reception followed by a delicious welcome dinner.

JFK Museum and LibraryDAY 2 - Sunday, October 10        

Historic Boston

This morning, embark on a full day of touring historic Boston - from the Back Bay to Beacon Hill, where history will come alive at every turn.  Enjoy a walking tour of the historic North End for a visit to the Old North Church and views of the Paul Revere home.  Mid afternoon there will be a stop at historic Faneuil Hall and Quincy Marketplace for free time and shopping. Late this afternoon there will be a visit to the famous JFK Museum and Library to learn about the Kennedy era.  Enjoy an early dinner before attending “Shear Madness”, the longest running play in Boston’s history.

DAY 3
- Monday, October 11       

Coastal New Hampshire and Maine

Today, we’ll depart for a day of touring Portsmouth and Coastal Maine. This morning, we’ll visit Strawberry Banke Museum located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire’s oldest seacoast neighborhood.  Experience life from the late 1600’s to the 1950’s in this neighborhood known as Puddle Dock. Rich in history, famous people such as George Washington, Daniel Webster, John Paul Jones and John Hancock were all guests on this site. Continue ‘down east’ touring through the seaside villages of York, Ogunquit and Kennebunkport.  Enjoy some free time in Dock Square before boarding the trolley for a tour around town!  Late afternoon you return to the hotel for relaxation and dinner on your own at the hotel or neighboring restaurants.

DAY 4
- Tuesday, October 12      

Green Mountains of Vermont & Lakes Region of New Hampshire

Today the beauty of the Green Mountains of Vermont and the Lakes Region of New Hampshire are ours to enjoy. As we travel to Vermont, the foliage takes on beautiful hues in autumn. Arrive to the village of Woodstock and enjoy a visit to the Billings Farm and Museum; one of the finest small dairy farms in America! Then, enjoy touring the picturesque village green and covered bridge before making a brief picture stop at Vermont’s little Grand Canyon; Quechee Gorge.  Continue our journey as we tour through the Lakes Region of New Hampshire with spectacular views of Lake Winnipesaukee; NH’s largest lake.  Board the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad and ride the rails while eating a famous Harts Hot Roast Turkey dinner carved at your table with all the trimmings. Return to our hotel this evening.

DAY 5 - Wednesday, October 13

Lexington, Concord & Plymouth

This morning we’ll check out and depart for a tour of historic Lexington and Concord.  Follow the ‘ride of Paul Revere’ and the dramatic events which led to our Revolutionary War. Visit the Old North Bridge in Concord where colonists fired the famous “shot heard ‘round the world” and continue on to the Lexington Green.  Our tour takes us past the home of the literary greats – Louisa May Alcott, Nathaniel Hawthorne and Ralph Waldo Emerson.  This afternoon travel to Plymouth - America’s Hometown.  Enjoy time to stroll along the Plymouth waterfront and view the Mayflower II and Plymouth Rock. Continue across the Cape Cod Canal to Sandwich; the Cape’s oldest town.  Visit the Sandwich Glass Museum for a glass blowing demonstration and other exhibits before checking into our hotel for the next three evenings.

DAY 6
- Thursday, October 14    

Hyannis to Provincetown                              (Option:  Whale Watch or Dune Tour)

This morning, depart for a full day of touring. Begin with a tour of Hyannis and picture stop at the JFK Memorial overlooking beautiful Veterans Beach.  Continue along historic route 6A known as the Old Kings Highway which was once an actual Indian trail.  Enjoy views of old Sea Captain’s homes that line the street as we journey to the outer Cape.  We’ll visit the Cape Cod National Seashore for spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and view one of the Cape’s historic Lighthouses – The Nauset Light. 

Travel onward to the tip of the peninsula into Provincetown; enjoy this art colony, with its unique way of life.  This afternoon you will have the option of experiencing a memorable ride throughout the dunes of Provincetown in an enclosed Suburban vehicle or embark on an exciting Whale Watch Cruise to witness these magnificent mammals frolic in their ocean playground.  A savory dinner is planned at one of the Cape’s fine restaurants.

DAY 7 - Friday, October 15          

Martha’s Vineyard Island

Today will be spent on the beautiful Island of Martha’s Vineyard.  Located 7 miles off the coastline, this Island offers a vacation ambience unlike any other. Once an early refuge for coastal ship traffic, it blossomed into a whaling community in the 18th and 19th century and evolved to what is now a popular tourist destination of today.  Explore the diversity of its island towns, take a walk along our pristine shores, and step back in time to a more leisurely pace.  Enjoy a guided tour of Oak Bluffs which is noted for its collection of small Carpenter Gothic cottages clustered in the Methodist Camp Meeting Grounds, and Edgartown, known for is stately Greek revival homes built by sea captain of years ago. Return to the mainland after a full day of sightseeing.  Enjoy a farewell lobster dinner.

DAY 8
- Saturday - October 16

Hyannis Harbor Cruise & Departure Home
This morning before saying farewell to Cape Cod, enjoy a one-hour narrated cruise of the Hyannis Harbor for spectacular views including ones of the Kennedy compound. Return to Boston’s Logan International Airport by approximately 12:30 P.M where our tour ends with lingering thoughts of our Nation’s Heritage and treasured memories that will last a lifetime!
